Site Engineer

Our site engineers act as the vital link between design and construction. On every project, they bring technical insight, quality control, and site coordination to ensure works are executed accurately, safely, and to specification.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting Out & Leveling
Use survey instruments to establish gridlines, benchmarks, and reference points. Layout structural elements (columns, walls, slabs) exactly per design.

  • Quality Assurance & Inspections
Perform regular QA checks on materials, workmanship, and structural installations. Inspect steel reinforcement, drainage, waterproofing, and services installations.

  • Technical Queries & RFIs
Raise and resolve Technical Queries (TQs) and Request for Information (RFI) to clarify design, incongruences or conflicts. Liaise with designers and senior engineers to provide site input and solutions.

  • As-Built Surveys & Documentation
Capture accurate as-built condition data. Produce as-built drawings, quality logs, and site records for project handover and compliance.

  • Material Takeoffs & Temporary Works Checking
Review bills of materials, quantify required components, and verify temporary works align with safety and design standards.

  • Use of Software & Systems
Work with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, MS Office, and digital tools such as FieldView, Dalux, Trimble systems, SharePoint and SnagR to manage digital documentation, issue tracking, and site workflows.

  • Site Coordination & Support
Assist senior engineers and project managers in coordinating trades, verifying site progress, and addressing technical challenges. Maintain close supervision of subcontractors and ensure site activities match plans.
